I remember the woman who was shown this episode at 14:43 being Lindel's and Elias' teacher and that she was living where Chise was transported at the end here. But Elias is really old, time travelling? Or it's just that mages' lifespans are that long.

they really love cliffhangers in this show...the way the boy said *i can rip out your eyeball and you cant run from me* if i had the energy i would go back to where they dealt with him and find out about this eyeball, dragon and unkillable curse...like wtf one minute headless horsemen next eyeball ripping

I think he was saying that even if he removed the eye the curse would remain with her, she can't escape it now.

My interpretation would be that SOME mages' lifespans are that long, or even not on a timetable, based upon each's individual circumstance.

i feel bad for anyone sleeping on this show

i like the opening music.... i just feel it breaks too early. The build up could be longer. Maybe there is encore in the full version.

i was sucked into this episode so much to suddenly be pushed out by that ending

there are moments when Studio Kafka seriously SERIOUSLY turns up the detailing and gorgeousness of this franchise. just LOOK at those pumpkins, photorealistic! :D how dirty they look and different shapes and colors. it almost made me SMELL the soil from their field and the cut stems and the pumpkins.

also, if you're used to turnips small enough to easily fit in your hand, or merely the size of a softball... the turnips Elias is talking about from the earliest celebrations of Samhain are MUCH larger, their size is not unlike the pumpkins they are harvesting today. remember folks, pumpkins are NATIVE TO NORTH AMERICA not Europe. pumpkins were imported to Europe by the various ships moving across the Atlantic after NA was colonized by Europeans.
